#MeetUsMonday :: Introducing Katie

We are so excited to introduce you to Katie, one of our newest team members! She is a Senior Manager on our HR Services Team who is making things happen in Columbus on the daily!

Not being your average bean counters, it's important to us that you know who we are, what we stand for, and the crazy things we spend our time doing when we aren't serving you! Now, get to know....

Introduce your family:

These are the loves of my life, my husband and two kiddos. We love spending time together outdoors, playing card and board games, making music, and traveling. We also have a houseful of pets – two dogs and a cat – to keep things interesting.

What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of months?

Mostly being outdoors when it’s a bit warmer – family camping, hiking, biking, or even just relaxing in our favorite room at home (the porch). Every season has something to love, but I’m ready for warmth and summer fun!

Why do you do what you do?

What I find most rewarding is helping leaders see around corners, in themselves, their teams, and their organizations.

A lot of business challenges that show up as missed goals, turnover, or stalled growth aren’t purely technical problems; they’re people and leadership issues that have been taking shape beneath the surface for a while.

It often shows up as, “We’re growing, but things feel messy,” or “My team isn’t keeping up the way it used to,” or even, “This used to work… what changed?”

I really enjoy helping leaders spot those patterns early and put simple, practical structure around them so the business can move forward with more clarity, consistency, and momentum.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?

Rock hunting! No, they generally don’t move quickly, but they are good at hiding. I’ve been all over the Midwest and the American Southwest to hunt  rocks, and I enjoy the process as much as the finds. It requires patience, curiosity, a willingness to look a little closer than most people would, and you get to explore so many new places along the way.

The best chip ever is…

A chocolate chip.

Name one thing still left on your bucket list.

I’d love to do a big, multi-day hike. Haleakala, Mt. Blanc, the Appalachian Trail – they’re all on my bucket list. If there are others I should consider, say more!

Share a picture of something you love.
