Introduce your family:

My family is from Cincinnati, Ohio and we have lived here my whole life. My Dad is one of 16 kids, whereas my Mom is one of two kids. I have one older sister who is married and has two Great Danes, a pug, and a cat. I married my husband this February, and we have two cats, Peter and Piper.

What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of months

I am looking forward to more sun and more greenery as we near the summer months. Green is one of my favorite colors, so I always get excited when everything starts growing back after the winter.

Why do you do what you do?

I started college out as a Communication Design major in DAAP at UC. Within the first semester, I realized that art and creativity were personal interests of mine, not something that I wanted to make a career out of. I switched to Marketing under the impression that it was the business side of design. In my first semester in the business school, I took an accounting class, and I knew that this was the correct fit for me. The following semester I switched my major to accounting and never looked back. I enjoy accounting because it is very methodical and logical while being clear cut. I enjoy that I can utilize some of my creative thinking when structuring certain aspects of data for clients to ensure that it has meaning to them and the business that they are doing.

What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?

Crochet. I taught myself how to crochet in March of 2023 and have been yarn obsessed ever since. It has been a great creative outlet.

If you could instantly become an expert in something, what would it be?

Backpacking/Outdoor Survival Skills. If I had the skill set to live off-grid safely, I would.

Special interests:

I am striving to visit all 63 National Parks within the US. I have been to 9 different National Parks in the last 3 years. My personal favorite is Yellowstone National Park. I have been twice in the past two years. I may be a bit biased as my husband works seasonally for Yellowstone and is there from May – October.

That's a wrap!  We can't wait to share more about all of our team members, but  since there is more to us than just counting beans we are going to take this one rockstar at a time!  Until next #MeetUsMonday ... Go Make Dreams Come True!
