Introduce your family:
I grew up the middle child of a large, blended family of seven children. My mom married one of my close childhood friends’ dad and we became sisters. My three daughters grew up around sixteen cousins spending summer vacations at my parent’s retirement home in Hilton Head, SC and Savannah, Georgia. My oldest daughter turned her love of computers into a career in IT, my middle daughter, having always been strong-willed, works as a journeyman pipefitter and welder, and my youngest is exploring her options in college leaning towards a career in speech and occupational therapy for children with autism. In addition to a large family, we also have a tiny zoo that includes our German Shepherd, Mesa Moose, two tortie mix cats, Gizmo and Pumpkin, two red slider turtles, Sam and Alice, a long-haired floppy eared bunny, Maymay, and a bearded dragon, Eugene.

What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of months?
Over the next couple of months, I’m looking forward to my annual vacation with my sister, another busy season, and finishing up my degree.
Why do you do what you do?
The most rewarding part of my career is being able to share with I’ve learned over the years with the next generation of accountants. I really love seeing the moments when they find their passion in accounting too.
Name one things that's still left on your bucket list.
One thing left on my bucket list is to travel across the country to see a sunrise at the Grand Canyon.
Favorite activity to do with your family?
My favorite activity to do with my family would have to be our annual Christmas baking. We spend the day drinking hot chocolate, eating way too many cookies with Christmas movies playing in the background.
At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Barnes & Noble! There is something about the feel and smell of a new book.
