Introduce your family:
I was born and raised on a farm in Eaton, Ohio with my two sisters and brother. My eldest sister and my brother are both in the nursing field and my “middlest” sister is a homemaker and activist. My family is close-knit and we show our love by sharing new recipes, new books, and nerding out about our new obsessions and fixations. We all have a love of animals, every house having at least one pet. My furball is a statistically large cat named Thor!
What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of months?
Planning a trip to South Korea to visit my childhood best friend who is currently living abroad! Excited to try new foods, visit lots of museums, and quality time to catch up in person!Why do you do what you do?
Math has always been a language that made perfect sense to me! I started my academic career focusing on theoretical mathematics and practical statistics. Covid changed my career trajectory, and I landed in accounting and found it joined a lot of my loves together: Math, puzzle solving, showing up and being of service, and constantly learning new skills!
What’s one thing most people don’t know about you, but should?
I am a punk at heart. Nothing is more punk than being kind and practicing radical forgiveness!
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
