We are so excited to introduce you to Larisa, one of our newest team members! She is our Business Advisory Manager in who is making things happen in Dayton on the daily!
Not being your average bean counters, it's important to us that you know who we are, what we stand for, and the crazy things we spend our time doing when we aren't serving you! Now, get to know....
Introduce your family:
I was an Air Force kid, so we moved around a lot when I was little. My dad was stationed at Wright Patterson and I was attending Wright State University when he retired so I stayed and made Dayton my home also. I met my husband after a rodeo at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds. He was a professional bull rider at the time. After injuries forced him to retire, we started May Transport, LLC and he’s an Owner/Operator now. We have three kids. Colton, our oldest, is a financial manager at WPAFB. My daughter Lacey is a Hospice nurse in Indianapolis and my youngest, Jessi, is an awesome softball pitcher and volleyball player and keeps her parents busy with games and tournaments.
What are you most looking forward to over the next couple of months?
I am so excited it is finally summer and warm outside! I love being outdoors and doing outdoor things like hiking and attending sporting events.
Why do you do what you do?
Completing projects and seeing the positive impacts they can have for a company by saving money, reducing workload or making a company compliant is rewarding. I also enjoy finding the “holes” in a process or implementation and getting them fixed before they become big issues for a company. Personally, I enjoy mentoring younger professionals and helping them grow their skills.
What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
When I started college, I was a Physics major. How nerdy is that? Honestly, I wanted to become a biomedical engineer and create artificial limbs. I think I watched too many episodes of The Six Million Dollar Man when I was little. Somehow, I ended up graduating with a degree in Management Information Systems which eventually led me to Project Management. I still feed the nerd in me with the books I read though.
Name one thing still left on your bucket list.
I love to travel and hit those out of the way or slightly eccentric spots. My husband and I are hoping to become RVers when we retire and drive around looking for fun places.
What is your favorite activity to do with family?
We are big hikers. We love to visit state parks, community parks, any place that lets you hang out with nature, especially places that have waterfalls!
That's a wrap! We can't wait to share more about all of our team members, but since there is more to us than just counting beans we are going to take this one rockstar at a time! Until next #MeetUsMonday ... Go Make Dreams Come True!
